Job Search Series #2: My LinkedIn Sprint Strategy
What changed when I started posting 3x a day? A whole lot.
How I stopped getting ghosted and started landing interviews—by posting 3x a day on LinkedIn. Here’s the exact strategy that worked.
In my last post, I broke down how I sent 305 applications, got ghosted by 145 companies, and nearly burned out trying to land a job that didn’t suck the life out of me.
Spoiler: I finally stopped chasing jobs—and started attracting them.
Here’s what made the difference:
I pivoted my strategy from silent job searcher to visible professional.
Instead of cold-applying and hoping someone found me in the ATS black hole,
I took control of how I showed up online.
🎯 Why LinkedIn?
Because visibility matters.
If no one knows you’re looking, they can’t help.
If your profile reads like a robot, recruiters scroll past.
If you wait for the “perfect” job post, you’re always behind someone more visible.
So, I created a new rule: Show up 3x a day. Every day. For 90 days.
Is This ‘Treat Yourself’ Culture Keeping You Broke? 😬
→ Because sometimes the biggest career glow-up starts with saying “no.”
🔁 What I Posted (Without Burning Out)
I created a simple 3-post a day rhythm that let me stay consistent without overthinking. Here are the topics that I covered on a rotating basis.
🔹 Post: Job Search Real Talk
Job seeker wins, lessons, ghosting stories, and the wild things people say in interviews.
I even posted a couple times after I got rejected from jobs I really got excited about. Heck I posted how I said no to a company because I refused to do asynchronous interviews (I’m not talking to a screen that doesn’t include a human).
It helped me connect with others going through the same thing—and feel less alone.
🔹 Post: Something Personal
A peek into my real life from gardening to books I enjoyed to simply how things were going.
(Authenticity builds trust. Period.)
🔹 Post: Value or Insight
Tips on budgeting, internal audit, FP&A, operations, spreadsheets, or navigating tough work transitions. Basically highlight what you do at work, what problems you have solved, and things relevant to the job your targeting.
Pro Tip: Leverage ChatGPT to create excel tips. You’ll learn something too!
🔹 Post: Created a daily series
I created monthly themes where one of the three posts that day were all about my theme.
🔹 Looking for a Job Post: Open to Work
I posted an Open To Work post every 3 days. I talked about my prior experience, challenges that I’ve faced, work that I enjoy, and the types of jobs I’m looking
Bonus? I turned comments into content, riffed off other’s posts (and gave them credit for the idea) and made it easy by batching ideas ahead of time.

💥 What Changed
In a matter of weeks:
✅ People started DMing me job leads.
✅ I had recruiters reaching out to me.
✅ I booked 4 interviews from warm intros—not cold applies.
✅ I rebuilt my confidence, one post at a time.
✅ I started getting noticed as a person, not a resume.
Was it scary to post at first? Yep.
Did I overthink everything? Also yes.
But it worked.
Because the right people can’t find you if you’re invisible.
🔧 Tips if You Want to Try This
🧠 Start with your story. People connect with why you’re looking, not just what you’ve done.
📅 Pick 2–3 themes you can rotate. Think: job search updates, personal life, lessons learned, tools, stories, wins.
🗣️ Talk like a human. If you wouldn’t say it to a friend, don’t post it.
🔁 Reuse and repurpose. A good post is worth sharing again in a new way.
🧩 Engage with others. Comment, uplift, and participate—it’s a two-way street.
💬 Have you ever tried a LinkedIn sprint? Or posted something that got surprising traction?
Drop it in the comments—I’d love to hear what worked for you.

Disclosure:
Everything I share here is based on my own job search journey. What worked (or didn’t work) for me may not play out the same way for you — and that’s okay. Think of this as a data point, an idea, or one person’s experience to consider.
I already know there’s going to be someone out there who says, “I did the exact opposite and it worked for me.” That’s the nature of job searching — there’s no single formula. And honestly? That person didn’t even land at their dream company, but whatever.
So take what I write as food for thought, not a guarantee. Use what resonates, toss what doesn’t. At the end of the day, you do you.

I’ll never forget when a former colleague told me about this idea of posting 3 times a day on LinkedIn. At first I let the idea roll around in my head, but within a week I got to taking action. I could no longer deal with playing restroom poop 💩 roulette!
And I figured what’s the absolute worst case scenario. Worst case scenario I didn’t land a new job but spent time posting on LinkedIn. I wasn’t landing a new job with the old way of job searching so figured why not give it a go.
